Certain parts of our web site are not yet working properly following the transition from hosting the site locally to being hosted by our software vendor.  Webmaster access was not available until almost a week after the transition.  We are discovering new things that need fixing or tweaking almost daily.  Please be patient as we work to make the site more reliable and up to date.
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held Wednesdays February 1 and 8, 4:30 - 8:00 PM.  Call 740-797-4521 to schedule appointments.  Grade cards were mailed out December 28.
Graduation Time Change:  Please note that the start time for the AHS graduation ceremony on Saturday May 26 has been changed to 11:00 AM.
AHS Flag:  You may have noticed a newly designed AHS flag flying in front of the school and at Rutter Field/Scott Riggs and Family Stadium.  For a brief history of the school crest found on the flag and the new design, click here.
Semester Exam Schedule Revised:  The 2011 Semester Exam Schedule has been revised and may be found here.
Reminder:  Next AHS/AMS Early Release Day on Wednesday May 9.  Dismissal at 12:30 PM.
Congratulations to AHS Fall Sports for great seasons!  Girls Cross Country placed 10th in the State Championship, Girls Volleyball advanced to the Regional Tournament and Football made their first ever appearance in the state playoffs by winning outright, the TVC Championship. Boys Soccer and Cross Country, Meelim Lee (Girls Tennis) and Varsity Golf went to Sectionals.
Congratulations to guidance counselor Suzanne Powell for being nominated for the University of Chicago's Outstanding Educator Award.  Entering first year students at U of C are asked to nominate an educator who has changed them, challenged them or helped them along the path toward intellectual growth.
